late summer morning

Dear friend, here’s a glimpse from my late summer mornings.

I love this new spot I discovered. I could not wait to come back and see all the secret corners and details.

I can hear birds chirping in the hedges and the rustling noise that blackbirds make when they forage on the ground in the bushes. Butterflies are chasing each other, and grasshoppers sound like a well-tuned orchestra playing in the background.

Nearby, there’s a chicken coop with a rooster. I can see many birds, but without binoculars, I can’t tell which ones they are. I can definitely hear a robin chirping, as if it’s saying: I’m here, this is mine!

A gentle tweet-tweet is coming from the beautiful old cherry tree whose leaves are already turning yellow, and the branches are almost bare. Tiny ants are crawling all over me, as if they’re checking out the new visitor. All kinds of little insects are landing on me, like I’m slowly becoming part of this place.

Some yellow leaves are drifting on the garden ground with the breeze. There’s a beautiful kind of quiet here, only the rooster insists on being heard in a loud way. A blackbird passes by with wings wide spread, ready to land in the hedge behind me.

I love this kind of morning, when no human sound disturbs nature’s quiet song. Birds seem so unbothered here.

Clouds dissolve into the soft blue sky, and the sun breaks through strongly. It’s time for me to leave.

Do you think birds feel the beauty they see?
