Hello!
I’m Urška.
An artist of porcelain and poetry, living slowly in the heart of Vipava Valley.
For more than ten years, porcelain has been at the centre of my work. I shape it by hand, one piece at a time. I’m drawn to its delicacy, its translucency, and to the patience and precision it asks of me.
Painting, writing and making things have long been part of how I live. Through them, I give form to what I notice, imagine and feel, even when I don’t quite know how to name it.
There is a vast inner landscape behind my work. It holds dreams, memories, feelings, imagined places and fragments of the world around me. What I see can find its way into my imagination and stay there, changing quietly until it becomes something.
Nature is deeply rooted in my world. Flowers, birds, forests, changing light. They are more than subjects to me. They are part of me.
My work grows somewhere in the space between what is real and what is imagined. I like things that leave something unsaid, that carry a little mystery. Things that are a little fragile, a little strange, difficult to name… I’m not so interested in making something perfect as in making something that feels truly mine.
Art, nature, imagination… the things I notice and the things I feel. I find magic in humble places.
